Waxworms the larvae of a wax-moth are specially treated with a completely natural process to inhibit pupation and help aid storage. Waxworms are fed on delicious nutrients such as honey and wheat germ. Highly nutritious with soft skins they provide a suitable food for feeding to a wide variety of softbills and insectivorous bird species which visit your garden to feed. Waxworms are best administered from a mealworm feeder or directly from your bird table in a straight sided dishes. Waxworms offer 100% food with little or no waste. Your waxworms will arrive in egg trays packed with wood shavings. They can be stored in these at round (12-15°C) and should last about three weeks. The waxworms you purchase do not need to be fed and are not able to mature into wax moths.
